SHARK Water Sports is a family owned water sports club with two locations. You can find us on the Athens Riviera on the East side of Varkiza Beach, right next to the Varis-Varkiza Nautical Sports Club as well as at the Grand Beach club at Lagonissi Grand Beach Resort.* We pride ourselves on our friendly environment and offer a wide range of water sports and activities the whole family can enjoy. Whether you're a beginner looking to try a water sport or have tons of experience, we have top instructors with over 20 years of professional experience onsite that can cater to all levels. We use only the best equipment and safety always comes first.
*Please note that entry to Grand Beach club at Lagonissi Grand Resort is not included in our services and is paid by the customer at the club entry. Please visit the Grand Beach website for details on the cost to enter on weekdays and weekends.

ANGELOS POLYZOGOPOULOS
Owner & Instructor
Angelo is one of the founders of SHARK Water Sports and is a waterski, wakeboard and wake surf instructor. A water ski, ski tricks and slalom legend, Angelo is also one of the most energetic, fun-loving and motivational instructors you'll ever meet. He was a member of the Greek National Water Ski team and has over 20 years of experience coaching water sports.
During his competitive career, Angelo earned many awards, including among others:

DIMITRIS FATSIS
Owner & Instructor
Dimitri is one of the founders of SHARK Water Sports and is a waterski, wakeboard and wake surf instructor. He graduated from the University of Athens School of Physical Education and Sport Science where he specialized in Water Ski Instruction. He has over 15 years of experience coaching water sports. He is also an internationally certified driver for wakeboard competitions.
Dimitri currently competes on national and international wakeboard circuits. In 2024 and 2025, he earned 1st Place, and in 2018 he earned 2nd place, at the Hellenic Wakeboard Championships.
MINAS IOSIFIDIS
Instructor
Mina is a waterski, wakeboard and wake surf instructor. He graduated from the University of Athens School of Physical Education and Sport Science where he specialized in Water Ski Instruction. He over 20 years of experience coaching water sports.
Mina was recently the coach of the Greek National Water Ski team. During that time, the team earned a gold medal in Slalom at the 2013 World Championships in Australia and placed in the top in Slalom at the 2012 European Championships in Holland. Mina also spent 13 years as a water sports instructor at the Vouliagmeni Nautical Club and also worked as a water ski instructor at the Halkis Waterski School.
In addition to coaching, Mina judges waterski competitions and is an International Homolgator for the International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation (IWFF). He is also a waterski pilot for waterski competitions.
